✨ The Divine Dance — Beyond Either/Or
Today’s treasure comes from Richard Rohr’s The Divine Dance, a book that reimagines the Trinity not as a static doctrine but as a living invitation into transformation.
As I opened its pages, three passages shimmered into view:
🌱 The Law of Three reminds us that newness always emerges in the space between. Like a child resting safely between parents, the third presence brings tenderness, energy, and possibility. Rohr invites us to imagine a world beyond binaries—no longer trapped in endless either/or, but open to the surprise of “something new” arising.
🌸 The Feminine Dimension of God reveals itself in these in-between spaces. While history has handed us masculine-heavy language, Rohr reminds us that the real power is relational—the dance itself, the field of connection, the mystery of the spaces between. Here we glimpse the feminine face of God, alive in intuition, beauty, and resonance.
🔄 The Power of Concentric Circles shifts our understanding of power itself. Not hierarchical, not top-down, not domination—but circular, spiraling, shared. Rohr writes: “It’s here; it’s within us. It’s shared and shareable; it’s already entirely for you. God’s Spirit is planted within you and operating as you!”
These passages together weave a simple but radical truth: God’s life is a dance of relationship. Transformation is born not in domination, but in shared power. And the Spirit of the Divine is not “up there,” but right here—alive in you, in me, in the spaces between us.
May we remember: ✨ to step out of binary thinking into the dance of three ✨ to honor the feminine dimension of God in the mystery of relationship ✨ to live as though power is shared, spiraling, and already within
This is the invitation of the Divine Dance. 🌿
