My Wall of Gurus: A Lesson in Non-Attachment
My Wall of Gurus In this Morning Musing, I open to a passage from Lama Thubten Yeshe’s book: The Essence of Tibetan Buddhism, on non-attachment and share a spontaneous reflection on what I call My Wall of Gurus—a sacred space in my home where beloved teachers, guides, and wisdom keepers gather in photo, spirit, and presence.
This offering explores what it means to love without clinging, to share from the heart without needing anything in return, and to recognize the living Guru not just in others, but within ourselves.
Sometimes we forget. This practice of remembering—through image, devotion, and story—helps me return to a state of reverence and trust.
May this reflection awaken something within you. May it inspire you to create your own way of honoring those who light the path. And may you begin to see the Guru not only on the wall, but also in your breath, your mirror, and the world around you.
