Think back to being a kid, learning your ABCs by singing them. Or riding in the back seat of a car, everyone belting out the same song off-key, nobody auditioning, nobody caring how it sounded. Or a lullaby someone hummed to you before you even understood the words.
None of us needed a reason for that. It just felt good. It just felt safe.

But there's a line, and past it, projection stops resonating with the body and starts overwhelming it. Not everyone feels ready to sing out loud, and that's completely fine — humming does almost everything singing does, often more immediately. No pitch, no audience, just a closed mouth and a slow, easy exhale. Try it: hum a low note, let it ride out, and notice what softens.
