The Kingdom Within — A Radical Reordering

Listen Here

Welcome to Treehouse Treasures -- I'm so happy you are here!

Todays' episode is from, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest luminaries to walk this earth. Jesus.

The particular phrase we are exploring — “Seek ye first the Kingdom…” — feels both ancient and utterly alive. This is a quiet inner contemplation -- and a radical reordering of desire.

If the word Kingdom does not resonate with you, I invite you to gently replace it with whatever word opens your heart: Queendom. Shambhala. Divine Field. Beloved Presence. Inner Harmony. Ultimate Reality. What matters is not the label, but the lived orientation toward Love as the governing principle of your life.

As you read — or listen — I invite you to hold an open mind and a soft heart. There is nothing here to defend or debate. There is only an invitation to contemplate, to attune, and perhaps to remember something already alive within you.

Imagine, for a moment, that these were the last sacred words left on Earth and every other scripture had faded — and all we had remaining was this single living utterance.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God… and all these things shall be added unto you.”

How would we read it then? How slowly would we turn each word in our hands? How tenderly would we ask what it means — not to history, but to us?

Imagine building an entire way of life from this one teaching. Imagine allowing it to question us. Imagine allowing it to reorder us.

This is how we enter it today.

This is a living exploration. A remembering.

What does it mean to truly seek? What governs my life?

Breathing in… I am aware. Breathing out… I soften.

Although I was not raised in any particular religion, the words and life of Jesus have always intrigued me. There is something simple, luminous, and quietly revolutionary in his teachings that continues to draw me in. Not as doctrine. Not as dogma. But as living wisdom.

Today, Christianity remains the largest religious tradition in the world, with roughly 2.3–2.5 billion people globally identifying as Christian. In the United States, around 60% of adults still identify in some way with Christianity. These numbers alone fill me with a sense of hope. Imagine — billions of people inspired by the teachings of love, forgiveness, humility, and inner transformation.

Of course, identity and lived embodiment are not always the same. Yet I feel encouraged knowing that so many hearts, in their own way, are walking in the footsteps of Jesus — seeking peace, seeking truth, seeking Love.

If you are listening today and feeling weary, skeptical, curious, or simply longing for something steady and real — you may really enjoy this. You do not need to sign up for anything. You do not need to agree. You only need a willingness to pause. A willingness to breathe. A willingness to wonder if Love could be closer than you thought.

What if seeking first is simply choosing one small moment of awareness — right now?

Where is the Kingdom — Queendom already present in your breath, your body, your relationships?

Breathing in… I remember. Breathing out… I soften.

I belong to Love. I give thanks. I smile.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti. Peace within. Peace among us. Peace for all beings.
